Queen of Bohemia Predicts Own Death: Eve M. Kahn and Julie Lasky in Conversation about Gilded Age Journalist Zoe Anderson Norris
Thompson Wing
Wednesday, Dec. 17, 7-8pm
Join Eve M. Kahn, independent scholar and regular contributor to the New York Times, The Magazine Antiques, and Apollo, in a discussion that reveals the little-known story of the trailblazing journalist who took on New York’s Gilded-Age injustices. Zoe Anderson Norris was a woman ahead of her time. A Kentucky-born belle turned fearless Manhattan journalist, she used her pen as a weapon in the fight for justice. From exposing slumlords and corrupt politicians to advocating for impoverished immigrants, she captured the injustices of her era with a wit and tenacity that still resonates today. Eve will be in conversation with Julie Lasky, a journalist, editor and critic who specializes in design, architecture, and real estate.
