| Because of real challenges to the existence of arts organizations nation-wide, we celebrate Kaatsbaan’s accomplishments in 2025 to demonstrate why your year-end support is essential to making programs in 2026 possible.
- In 2025, 93% of works developed at Kaatsbaan were new creations. Our support of early-stage art springboards the careers of artists. By providing a supportive environment, Kaatsbaan ensures that process is their primary focus. Their creations will debut in US cities and abroad in years to come. Kaatsbaan plays a critical role in the production of new works and evolution of artistic dialogues.
- By year’s end, over 3,000 guests will have visited. About 1,200 of them made their first-ever visit. That’s 40% new people at Kaatsbaan!
- Michèle Steinwald, our Guest Curator for the 2025 Annual Festival, brought in 69 artists for 18 events over 5 weekends in August and September—our largest yet!
- At Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive, 119 young dancers were trained by Artistic Director Paloma Herrera and world-renowned principal artists Megan Fairchild (New York City Ballet), Stella Abrera (American Ballet Theatre), Lauren Anderson (Houston Ballet), and Leanne Benjamin (The Royal Ballet).
- Kaatsbaan welcomed 65 groups for residencies and Weekend Retreats, including Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Gibney Company, American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, The Juilliard School, TRIBE, and New York Theatre Ballet.
- Our residency partners, Baryshnikov Arts (BA) and Artists Community Alliance (ACA), brought in inkBoat + Elinor Kleber Diggs (BA); and Karen Olsen, Yuki Tokuda, and Deneane Richburg (ACA). With Chamber Music America, we presented Ivalas Quartet and Aimée Allen Jazz Quartet (December 6!). And, we were housing partners for Hudson Hall’s acclaimed production of Guilio Cesare.
You play an incredibly vital role in this artistic ecosystem. Your tax-deductible donation today enables us to support dancers, musicians, sculptors, writers, storytellers, and artists of all kinds in 2026.
Please make our work possible!
