Arts Mid-Hudson is pleased to announce two new hires: Morgan Schultz has joined as Development Coordinator, and Laura G. Doe as Grants Manager, strengthening the organization’s capacity to advance and support the Hudson Valley’s vibrant arts community.
Morgan Schultz joined Arts Mid-Hudson in August 2025 as the Development Coordinator. With a passion for connection and community engagement, Schultz aims to inspire and support individuals through the arts. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Personal and Professional Communication from SUNY Geneseo and has developed strong skills in marketing analytics and recruitment. After spending a few years in the Finger Lakes region, Schultz has returned home to the Hudson Valley and is eager to connect with its dynamic arts scene. Morgan looks forward to fostering community connections and promoting creativity through her role.
Laura G. Doe also joined Arts Mid-Hudson in 2025 as Grants Manager. Doe earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education K-12, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Crane School of Music, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. From 2014 to 2021, she served as Director and later Associate Chair of the Dutchess Community College Academy of Music. Most recently, Doe held the position of Director of Programming and Development at The Chamber Foundation of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she successfully raised nearly $4 million in grants for various initiatives, including workforce development, youth development, food security, environmental justice, and arts-related projects.
Laura will be succeeding the position previously held by Lilia Pérez. Pérez, who has contributed significantly to Arts Mid-Hudson since 2016, is moving on to a new opportunity. “The Mid-Hudson region is home to a remarkably supportive, collaborative, and uplifting arts and cultural community. I’m deeply grateful for nine fulfilling years of working with artists, facilitating a robust grants program, and finding ways to expand access to arts and culture,” stated Pérez. “Thank you to Arts Mid-Hudson, our community, and my colleagues for the meaningful lessons I’ll carry forward. I’m excited and confident about the continued service Arts Mid-Hudson and our outstanding Grant Team will provide to the public.”
Those in the community interested in meeting the new staff, learning more about Arts Mid-Hudson’s services, or saying farewell to Lilia should attend Arts Mid-Hudson’s Community Mixer on September 16 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Fuller Building in Kingston. “We congratulate Lilia on her new role and are deeply grateful for the tremendous impact she has made at Arts Mid-Hudson,” said Melissa Dvozenja-Thomas, Executive Director of Arts Mid-Hudson. “Her dedication has strengthened the Hudson Valley’s cultural landscape, and we wish her every success in this next chapter.”
