To help residents be prepared for any kind of emergency, the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response (DER) has partnered with the Amenia Free Library to host a free Citizen’s Preparedness Training on Wednesday, April 9 at 5:30pm at the library, located at 3309 Route 343. Registration is required by calling the library at 845-373-8273. View the event flyer.
During the training, participants will learn how to prepare for a disaster or emergency of any kind and recover as quickly as possible. Each family attending will receive a free Citizens Preparedness Response Starter Kit, while supplies last. The Medical Reserve Corps of Dutchess County and the Dutchess County Animal Response Team will be present with more information on how to become involved.
