MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Arts Mid-Hudson is pleased to announce the 2024 Empowered Artist Award, an annual fund established to provide critical financial support to artists in Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster counties. This program was begun by Linda Marston-Reid, the former Executive Director of Arts Mid-Hudson, who continues to inspire us to champion artists in the mid-Hudson region.
Three unrestricted grants of $3,000 each will be awarded to artists selected through a competitive process. The Empowered Artist Award aims to address the ongoing need for flexible funding that empowers artists to sustain their practice, advance their careers, and enhance their visibility within the community. Awardees will have the freedom to use the funds to create new work, purchase equipment, participate in professional development opportunities, pay for essential living expenses, and support their creative endeavors.
