Join Friends of the Walkway and veterans from Dutchess and Ulster Counties for a powerful evening of remembrance, gratitude, and community on Friday, September 20 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

This special evening event honors those who have served our nation with resource tables, entertainment, and a moving sunset salute.

On the East (Poughkeepsie) side, Dutchess County Veteran Services and MHA Dutchess Vet2Vet will host informational booths for veterans, alongside food trucks, music, and complimentary meals for veterans and their families. Over on the West (Highland) side, Ulster County Veteran Services and HVNCVR Vet2Vet will offer the same warm welcome and services.

At 6:45 p.m., the two communities will unite as all guests are invited to walk toward the Center Overlook, led by a traditional Pipes and Drums procession. Veterans and supporters from both sides of the Hudson will meet at the American flag for a heartfelt ceremony honoring our heroes, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the river.
