A SERIES OF CONVERSATIONS ABOUT AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Sundays, April 7th-28th @ 4pm
Episcopal Church of the Messiah, Parish Hall
Potluck dinner beginning @ 5:30pm
Our community is at a crossroads. Home prices and rents have increased dramatically in recent years—so much that many people simply can’t afford to live here. This reality endangers our stability as a community. At a series of four community conversations, you’ll learn the facts about the lack of affordable housing in the area and in Rhinebeck—and be invited to envision a number of possibilities.
Speakers will represent a range of perspectives, including historical, ecological, housing justice, land use, real estate and development, the chamber of commerce, and more. The line-up includes Adam Bosch, Steve Rosenberg, Deirdre Burns, Jonathan Mensch, Bill Jeffway, Ken Kearney, Christa Hines, Nancy Sheehan, and others. Conversations will be moderated by Fr. Richard McKeon of Church of the Messiah. Zero-waste potluck to follow.
