The General Richard Montgomery House Museum-Chancellor Livingston DAR Chapter House will be open from 2pm-4pm Saturday July 19 and 26, and August 2, 9 and 16, 2025.
The House, located at 77 Livingston Street
Montgomery House is the oldest clapboard house in the village of Rhinebeck. General Richard Montgomery and his wife, Janet Livingston Montgomery, resided there in 1773 while building Grasmere. The house belongs to the chapter and is an accredited museum on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Rhinebeck Village Historic District.
This is an opportunity to view the many items that have been donated over the years. Admission is free; donations welcomed.
